LUANDA (AFP) - Eighteen people have been arrested in a 137-million-dollar embezzlement probe at Angola's central bank, the public prosecutor told AFP on Thursday, warning more arrests were possible.

First, dos Santos accused his party of incompetence in 'monitoring the government's activities of governance, through the national assembly and the 'tribunal de contas' - the latter being the statutory body responsible for monitoring the use of state finance. This statement is contradictory.

SEVEN Namibians were attacked by eight unidentified armed robbers in Luanda, Angola, on Monday night. Two of the Namibians were stabbed and had to receive stitches.
